Last night we had our first ballgame. It was against Holy Family Catholic
Church. We were winning 10-4 and ended up losing 11-10. It stunk bad. We
always fall apart in the last inning. Never fails.
The Catholics also had a little help from the home plate umpire. He was
royally bad last year, and I see that practice doesn't make perfect after
all. The field umpire had called the play dead, but the plate ump didn't
know it, and the winning run scored. Made us furiously mad. Oh it was bad.
The funny part is, one of our players is also an umpire...he doesn't ump our
games..but will ump others. He even said it was a bad call. So..it makes us
a little happier knowing we were right.
Oh well..I hope I typed the right email address to send this too..
